About Us

The #PuttingMyHandUpCampaign has gone through three positive changes. We started the campaign by giving away free masks to daily commuters; thereafter we had generous donations from our amazing donors in order for us to provide daily food hampers to vulnerable families.

Our third addition to the campaign is taxi and car disinfection at our disinfection stations. Our initial sanitization stations will be in Soweto, Randfontein and Pretoria. We also have a mobile unit that will disinfect your car at your home on request. Visit our sanitisation station and receive a free cup of coffee while our team sanitises your car..

We have partnered with amazing taxi operators who are leading the fight against Covid-19 together with us to make sure their taxis are sanitised every day..

Bringing Awareness

The #PuttingMyHandUp initiative was created to bring awareness to millions of South Africans and to bring much needed face masks to the essential workers and to raise funds for skills development.

Secure Masks

WiTaxi, together with industry partners, has secured 3,000,000 approved masks from a South African manufacturer for phase One and we challenge corporates, FMCG companies and the general public to support our efforts to contribute to the fight against Covid19 infections.

Providing Protection

We have already received generous pledges from a number of corporates and the first 110,000 masks are ready to be delivered to provide much needed protection and funding for the approved initiatives.

Video Support

The Covid19 crisis has affected the labour pool and a lot of our South Africans are going to find themselves being unemployed or under-employed during this crisis.
